Open questions before a switch

#1

I am considering switching from another editor. So allow me to ask a few questions that are important to me.

Does Sublime Text have project management? Maybe management is too much, I just mean that it is possible to create several projects that I can access directly after starting the app. For example, in a project tree that contains all projects in alphabetical order. Double-click to open a project (folder and files). It would be great if it were possible to open several projects at the same time(!?).

Are clips or snippets possible? It often happens that I apply predefined codes by double-clicking on selected code. Is there such a feature?

I have tested the free version briefly, but it couldn’t answer my questions.

If I understand you correctly, I think the answer is yes. Just a short list of links of the community docs:

@milkman That looks very promising. I’ll take a look, thanks a lot.

I’m finding it very difficult with the user interface. I like the interface and the editing of PHP, CSS and HTML works as it should.

What I miss are ui standards, … so I started to set up.
First I actived the sidebar. When I open a file, I only see the these file. It would be nice if I could see where the file is located, the folder structure. To do this, I actually have to open the folder. That’s very unusual. Nothing is standard, so you have to make do. Is it really intentional that there is no standard? Installing packages has only worked once so far, all others have failed. I can see that they are installed and the folders are there, but they don’t work. No error message, the corresponding entries are in the menu, but they are all without function.

I don’t like to rant, I just want the developers to know that many people are sure to decide against the app after a trial period. A little standard is a must, especially the sidebar with folders. I bet that everyone who uses the app installs it. Why not immediately? I intend to pay for the trial phase by purchasing the app, but I’m not sure if I’m going to use it.
