Open Project on an existing window

Hi windows user here.
I am working on multiple projects and when I have a project open on the active sublime window, opening another project creates a new sublime window.

A new window is created no matter how I open a project. If I open it from windows explorer or via The project menu on the menubar.

I would like sublime to just close my active project and open the project on the existing window. Whether I opened it from file explorer or the menubar.

I’ve searched everywhere and could not find an answer. Thanks

Project > Switch Project prompts you to find a project and then replaces the content of the current window with it.

Project > Quick Switch Project will prompt you with a list of projects you’ve opened recently but otherwise behaves the same.
