POSSIBLE FIX:
I changed the “open .html files by default setting”
I wanted to be able to double-click and open in Sublime Text 3.
OOPS.
That would explain why it seems to do something but then never does.
Because when you click open in browser its opening the file with what it associates that file type with
In my case (possibly yours) Sublime Text 3
FIX = HOW?
right click on file
choose another app
(find Firefox and choose “:by default:”)
In Windows 8.1 I believe it is the same or very close.
Your file association with .html needs to be your browser of choice
