Open any file with wildcard search?

#1

Hi, when using “Open any file” (CTRL + P), is there way to perform wildcard search of file name? I tried “*” and it does not work.

Thanks!

The search is fuzzy, which means any characters may occur between those that you typed for search. In a sense, there is a * wildcard between any two characters by default and search results are sorted based on how they were matched.

Yeah, but sometimes this is not enough. For example, I have many files with same prefix name but different suffix and extensions (eg: “my-file-XXX.yyy”); and I only wish to see one of them. So naturally I would like I type “my-file*.js”, but that resulted in empty. The best the Fuzzy Search will do is for me to enter “my-file” which always return all files with same prefix, which still large amount. Hence I wish for this wildcard filter.

Type my-file.js instead.
