nvALT-style save

#1

Is there any plugin that allows for nvALT-style save? That is, the filename is the first line + extension. So: Blog Post - Blah & blah would be saved/renamed as Blo Post - Blah blah.md.

P.S. The problem with Sublime Text is that it makes editing text in other environments a frustrating experience.

It should do this by default… It does over here. Except, oddly enough, for plain-text files, when it doesn’t add an extension.

I meant if you change the first line, the file would be renamed. (My original question was rather vague, I realized now. Sorry about that.)

So I could change the first line in the file from Blog Post - Blah & Blah (draft) to Blog Post - Blah & Blah, save, and the file would be renamed from Blog Post - Blah Blah draft.md to Blog Post - Blah Blah.md

Wishful thinking, probably

Oh… that’s weird. You could totally write a plugin to do that, though.

Heh  I use Sublime for note taking (again, after a brief absence) and I’m trying to decrease the friction between thoughts in my brain and recording them.

My python’s non-existent, but I might as well take the plunge and try and rig up something. (I haven’t been paying very close attention to ST plugin development for the last few months, I thought – hoped – there might be a plugin I wasn’t aware of.)
