Newbie Python 3 Sublime Assist

I am learning Python, and the Sublime Text editor is recommended.

I am using a Windows system, Python 3.8 has installed successfully.

I have purchased a license for Sublime.

How can I get Python to work with Sublime?

I have made two attempts with Build a New System and the second is selecting Python 3 directly in the drop down under Tools - Build System - Python 3.

Any immediate assistance I would be grateful.

Can you provide more information on what the build systems looked like that you tried and in what way they didn’t work?

I don’t see python 3 there, maybe that’s provided by a plugin ?
try tools > Build With… (or ctrl+shift+b) and choose python (not python3 if there’s one).
