New user having installation problem

My machine: 2019 iMac Retina running macOS Monterey

Thinking I was properly following Sublime Text Community Documentation (STCD) installation instructions, I did the following:
Downloaded sublime_text_build_4126_mac.zip (44 MB) and extracted Sublime Text.app (124.1 MB). Moved the latter to Applications where it shows a date of Dec 20, 2021.

All good. ST comes up nicely when I click on the colorful “S” icon. The next page of STCD is Basic Concepts which includes a section on The Data Directory. Here is the relevant entry:

  • macOS : ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text
    Apparently I missed part of the installation process because at 'Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support" there is no “Sublime Text” entry.

I would appreciate a helping hand for the next step of installation.

There is no next step for installation. It’s running isn’t it?

ST creates the data directory when first run. Here’s our docs on it: https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/revert.html.
