I have only just now stumbled upon this masterpiece!!
Amazing. The simplicity yet functionality. Fantastic.
I’m still re-training myself away from Notepad++'s shortcuts and onto SublimeText’s.
One question I would like to know straight off the bat though.
Am I correct in saying SublimeText locks the files that are currently open, or in a project that is open, so that other programs can’t load them?
eg. In Notepad++ I could edit some XML that are used in a mod for Civilization V and then run the modded game to check the functionality, with those files open.
Using SublimeText it looks as though I must close the editor before starting a modded game otherwise those files are not checked.
Is this functioning as I imagine? If so is this a desired feature or a bug?
Lastly US$70 seems a bit steep, even for such a gem as this. Especially when the only downside to not registering is an occasional dialog reminder.
I bet a small reduction would mean a lot more purchasers.
If only 1 out of 5 bought it at $70, I reckon 3, or more, out of 5 would at $40!
Just saying.
Disregard the last paragraph.
After posting I read through a few posts that mentioned the price and I now agree wholeheartedly with the “it’s worth it” camp.
Although I am a pensioner and part-time coder, I too now see how US$70 compared to other things I buy is peanuts.
My money is in the mail.
