New sublime with package control

#1

Hello,

As soon as I got to work I installed the new version of sublime. I have package control with a bunch of packages. Now I can’t even get sublime to start. Get no errors, just doesn’t open. I uninstalled and reinstalled with removing all my files from both appdata and localappdata. Any clue why this is happening? If it an anti-virus issue (I don’t know why it would be an issue now) what am I supposed to allow?

Thank you

If you’ve removed the AppData folder for Sublime Text then it certainly sounds like something is blocking the process from starting.

I would look for sublime_text.exe in your antivirus.

@wbond are there any log files that would generate from sublime that I can check?

No, if Sublime Text doesn’t launch it won’t write anything. I would look at the Windows Event Log.

Not really. Are you out of memory? Does fully removing the app and reinstalling help?

No issue with memory.
Have uninstalled it about 8 times today.
Is there a way to get the version before this since that worked before?
Also I added exceptions to my anti-virus and no go with that as well

I have the same issue on my work laptop. My EventViewer shows 2 errors each-time I start SublimeText, it also takes quite a bit longer than on my personal desktop. It still starts and shows and works as intended though. All - probably - thanks to our mandatory virusscanner from work; TrendMicro. The build @Giantsrg1 mentioned does not have these issues, so I’m sticking to that!
