The new location filter tool in Dev Branch is nice! Proposal: show it always, clicking the button is one extra step that is unnecessary. You can show the “Locations” label as the filter text box background text instead, so that information does not get lost.
Note that the “X” button inside of the filter text box does not work as expected. The filter is hidden but the filter text is not cleared.
Also add a filter box like this to the “Files” tab! The files tab is nearly unusable currently and it would be a huge improvement. See my other post: Rework “Files” tab - Sublime Merge - Sublime Forum (sublimetext.com)
