PRESENT 3126 active tag is pleasant stipple underline focus.
Great, but what parent?
REQUEST v4 parent is stipple double-underline and active child is single underline.
IF active is html, then single stipple underline.
New double-tag focus
So, what you’re requesting is to highlight not just the brackets or tags for the current scope, but also those of the parent scope e.g. with a different underline style?
I went deeper with more careful consideration. This thread is for ST3. For ST4:
Whatever version, ST has not paid enough attention to code cascade hierarchies’ visible presentation. Stiple underline is a default behavior but poorly implemented for ST3126.
For example (this thread blocking code, so just a description), enter text in a p tag and no tag underline. Cursor column 1 left of p tag inside section tag inside article tag, article tag underline.
Same page, inside section and article, just right of p tag, p underline.
The feature is rabid. Closing tags with simple “</” works every time, almost. Whatever version, ST needs to pay more attention to tag hierarchies.
