Moved files are not tracked

when I move a file, sublime looses track

if I save from sublime, sublime saves at the old location

I understand that this might be desired sometimes but is there a way to change this behavior?

there’s currently no way to change it without writing a plugin that will watch to see when the file is moved

I understand that sublime is mainly for managing projects/ folders and thus this feature might not be a priority or even in scope, but if it would be implemented at some point I would definitely be one of those who’d appreciate it.
