Minimap "viewport indicator" turned on permanently

#1

When you move the mouse over the minimap, an area is highlighted which represents the current viewport, and is really handy to see where you are and where you are scrolling. I would like to suggest the option to have this turned on permanently, so that the highlight/viewport indicator is shown even when you are not hovering the mouse over the minimap. I think it would be very handy to be able to see where you are at all times, and especially when scrolling normally, and seems like it would be a very easy change to implement. Thanks.

there is a setting for this, but a bug means it doesn’t work currently

Is this a different option from always_show_minimap_viewport? Setting that to true results in showing the minimap viewport “highlight” at all times.

Thanks for the tip! I didn’t see that in settings. There is another setting after it which is exactly what I wanted, and seems to work for me:
“always_show_minimap_viewport”: true
