Markdown with build 3143 - unclosed mark makes colored line [SOLVED]

#1

In markdown mode, since build 3143, whenever there is an unclosed mark like *someword (with a missing * at the end of the word), the next line is fully colored (pink in my case).
Am I the only one to experience this?
Is it intentional to indicate a markdown syntax error?
Sometimes this syntax is wanted and that much colored sign is not necessary. What can be done to avoid it? Thanks very much

what I have done I have tried to uninstall all my packages, reinstal Subl but the issue persists

My config Arch Linux, xfce Adwaita-dark theme, Sublimetext 3.0 3143 from sublime repo, colorscheme Monokai

No

I haven’t looked into the various specifications for Markdown, but if your intention is to have a list item followed by emphasized text, then my stomach tells me there should be a space between * and someword. So yes, this is probably intentional to highlight a syntax error.

In my case this is often because I have a piece of code with * in it, code which is not surrounded by ~~~ or `. I can fix it by being stricter with the md syntax, thanks for your answer.
