Many Crashes - Sublime Text 2 on Windows 8

Dear all

Im new to Sublime Text and really started to love this tool. One Week ago I installed Sublime Text 2 and started to learn Shortcuts and do my daily work.

In the meantime i would be quite happy with ST but it often crashes when starting up the application or when shutting down the application. Once the application is crashed I am no more able to restart it. So I alway have to delete the settings file and all my workspace settings are lost.

Can anyone give me a hint on how I can analyse the problem to find out the reason for these crashes ?

Did you tried to revert?

Thanks for your hint.

Reverting fixes the problem, but I lose all the installed packages and settings. In my opinition I do not like to revert ST every second day.

It seems that there is a problem with the workspace. As soon as I delete the workspace file, ST can be started again.

My problem is that I am not feeling safe when a software always crashes and I do not know here to find any indicators why the program crashes.

You don’t have to revert every day :smile: Revert once, then start adding old packages.

Most likely your problem is caused by a faulty plugin.

I know that I have not to revert every day :sunglasses: . Adding old packages may be a good way to find the faulty plugin.

I am actualy trying to set up a new development workflow using ST. So I like to be shure that the setup will work painlessly, if this is possible :smiley:

As a side note, you should give ST3 a try. You may be surprised :wink:
