Make ST3 remember height of find/replace panel

#1

I have just recently upgraded from ST2 to ST3.

In ST2, the find/replace panels would “remember” their height after I resized them.

ST3 doesn’t seem to do that. If I resize them, then close and re-open them, they have reverted to their default height.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to enable a setting to get this function working in ST3 the same way it worked in ST2? It’s incredibly annoying.

Can anyone confirm if his answer is correct? Is there no way to craft a plugin that would restore the ST2 behavior here?

short of inserting a load of newline characters into the find box (not really possible - see https://github.com/SublimeTextIssues/Core/issues/1572), and then needing to constantly specify free spacing / extended mode or removing the newlines (and thus causing the panel to become smaller again) before searching, there is no other way to do it, so the answer is correct.

Ugh. It’s hard to explain how infuriating I find this dialog behavior. I never, ever, want this panel to change size by itself once I have set it to a size I find comfortable. Why would he change this from ST2?
