I keep getting a small dismissable popup stating “can’t update font list” (no caps, no other info) when I load a new document or do a diff. Perhaps I mention a font which doesn’t exist on my system now for whatever reason? How do i know what this means and how to troubleshoot?

Hi, I’m running into this same issue too.
I just tried some editing in safe mode, and I don’t see the popup happening.
How can I debug this further?

That means a plugin you’ve installed is showing the popup. You can try disabling installed plugins using the "ignored_packages" setting to find which one is the cause.
