The release of Sublime Text dev build 4135 has an issue on macOS where the application won’t start, showing a popup: ‘The application “Sublime Text.app” can’t be opened’. This only happens after Sublime Text has been quit once and restarted. Restarting your computer resets this. The next build fixes this issue, but it’s obviously hard to upgrade when ST doesn’t run.
Build 4136 replaces build 4135 and fixes the issue. If you’re stuck with ST not starting you can do one of the following:
- The previous build (4134) was moved to the trash can when upgrading. Simply move it back out and then upgrade.
- Restart your computer and then launch & upgrade
- Download the new build from https://www.sublimetext.com/dev
