macOS Sierra: Text Selection Issue

#1

Hello,

I notice since the Sierra upgrade I’ve had some issues while selecting text.

1st - When text is highlighted the “text select cursor” isn’t available under sublime:

2nd - Probably due to this, I’m unable to click over highlighted text in order to edit it.

Sublime Text: 3 - Build 3126.

Thank you.

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this… I don’t have another machine to test it on a clean install.

pretty sure this is normal - just set "drag_text": false in your user preferences if you don’t like it

Yeah this is a feature not a bug. You can drag the text so it turns into a pointer. I think this is the right approach and TextEdit gets it wrong. There it turns into a pointer after you start dragging it.

The not being able to click to edit it - try clicking again, sometimes the first click gets lost becuase of the margin required to determine if it’s a drag or a click, not the easiest thing to differentiate.

I confirmed the behavior is the same on 10.11 and 10.12, and from what I can tell it is working as intended.
