Mac OSX - Application Not Responding

#1

Running Sublime Text 2 (and love it); however, it froze on me and I had to force kill the session. Now when I try to restart nothing happens. Right clicking on the icon show the application is not responding and the only option is to force quite. Tried to restart, etc… but it seems to be reading a corrupt file or something on start up. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rick

You could try narrowing it down to a plugin, use some other editor, open the ST User Settings file and add all the plugins you have installed to the ignored list. Then try opening ST, if it works, start removing a plugin from the list one by one and see if it crashes on you.

If it still didn’t open, or, you’re working with a relatively new setup you could revert everything to a fresh state sublimetext.com/docs/2/revert.html

Thank you for the advise. I followed the information on the link you provided and all worked well.

Closing Sublime Text | deleting the ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 2/Settings/Session.sublime_session | restarting Sublime Text, worked for me. It didn’t harm any of my user settings or installed packages.

For me, in ST3 is was the Session.sublime_session file causing the issue.

On Mac, find it here: HD > Users > YourUser > Library > Application Support > Sublime Text 3 > Local > Session.sublime_session
