Hi all. I’ve been using Sublime to take notes, and making sure to save before closing each file (i.e., whenever I edit the file, there is a circle next to the tab containing the file name, and when I hit cmd+S it goes away). However, today I opened the application and noticed that most if not all of my files have been reverted to a previous version. Can someone please help me understand what has happened?

Sublime Text periodically saves it’s session state to disk, including any unsaved changes to files. It also does this when the application exits, however it can only do so with a clean exit: Say you hold down the power button it won’t be able to do so. It can be that Sublime Text was unable to exit properly and has thus loaded unsaved changes from when the session was last saved to disk. This does not affect the actual files on disk: Sublime Text only changes your actual files when you save.
You should check if the files on disk are what you expect them to be. If they’re not then something else has happened, likely to do with your Operating System or other external programs.
