Lost all my work with 2181

#1

I was using the most recent beta, 2181 since it came out. Today, in the middle of working, the power failed and the computer shut off. When I rebooted and went back to my file, it was zero bytes – empty.

Fortunately, it was a web page and had already been deployed to a server so I pulled down a copy. But still!

I see the most recent dev version has a new way of saving, so now I am going to use that.

Yeah, I had lost all of my work one day using Sublime also (as I mentioned in a different thread). As a result, I’ve stopped using Sublime altogether. If there is a new save scheme, maybe I’ll have to take another look at it…

There is no ‘new way of saving’, the only difference is that Sublime Text now explicitly asks the OS to spin up the disk and ensure that the data has been written to disk after saving (i.e., it issues an fsync call).

Sounds like a new way of saving to me

I wonder when ST2 auto save the session (time lapse) and if it’s configurable ?
