About a month or two ago, I started to get a strange bug in sublime text 3 where whenever I would begin a cursor movement such as moving it left and right with the arrow keys, after having not done it for a while (say a handful of minutes) it would halt and load for a solid 2 seconds, and would beachball for a second.
It would after the two seconds move the cursor, but the pause is far too long for so simple of an action.
Does anyone know what the issue is?
what plugins do you have installed? maybe they are doing something when you move the text caret?
you could try Tools -> Developer -> Profile Plugins to see if there is anything slow there
It’s not the plugins, I’ve disabled most of them, started sublime up, performed the cursor bug, checked the plugins profile and they all have 0.000s.
I’ve been experiencing the same issue. Happens even if I use the arrow keys in the search dialog. Only happens once then won’t happen again until I have a period of inactivity in Sublime.
