Linux key bindings on OS X

#1

How can I make the key binds os OS X work just like Linux? Should I just copy & paste Default (Linux).sublime-keymap into Default (Linux).sublime-keymap - User

Where can I get a copy of Default (Linux).sublime-keymap without a linux box around?

Theoretically possible, although I don’t know how well that would actually work. Some key bindings on MacOS are different for a variety of reasons that might not be compatible with Linux bindings, such as different keyboard layouts (such as missing Home/End/PageUp/PageDown type keys) or key combinations that the OS itself captures (to switch desktops and such).

It’s contained in the Default package. The easiest way to get at it is to use PackageResourceViewer, although in a pinch you can extract it from Default.sublime-package using unzip (sublime-package files are renamed zip files).

I don’t have Default package.

Everyone has the Default package, it’s just not stored inside the Package directory that you’re looking in. See this page for more information. PackageResourceViewer will show you the contents of the package without your having to manually locate it.

Thanks. I found the file.

That’s indeed an issue. I swapped command and ctrl modifier on OS X and now my Ctrl + H hides the window instead of calling replace bar.

You can turn some such keyboard shortcuts off (or change them to something else) but I don’t think you can do it to all of them. It’s been a while since I looked at that, though.
