Line highlighting while text is selected

I have my settings set so that lines with an active cursor are highlighted. However, whenever I select text the line highlighting disappears. I would like the line highlighting to persist in the background even when text is selected. Is there a way to do this?

I am using Dayle Rees Color Schemes. I am using a .sublime-color-scheme file via ‘UI: Customize Color Scheme’ to customize the appearance but I haven’t found a way to change this detail.

Line highlighting disappears if a line contains a selection by design. This behavior can’t be customized.

It’s such a handy feature to keep track of where you are, especially in those longer coding sessions. The way the highlighting vanishes when text is selected can be a bit jarring, right?
