Limitcode – AI pair programming for Sublime Text

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on Limitcode, an open-source AI pair programming assistant built natively for Sublime Text.

It supports OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, Ollama and LM Studio, with streaming conversations, persistent sessions, file and selection context, and tools for reading and editing open files directly from Sublime Text.

Limitcode is currently under review for Package Control, but you can already install and try it manually from the repository:

Update: Limitcode is now officially available through Package Control.

You can install it directly from Sublime Text via:

Package Control: Install Package → Limitcode

Update: a few improvements have landed since launch.

  • Chat style customization: the chat status bar can now follow your Sublime
    Text theme. Use the chat_style object in Limitcode.sublime-settings for
    quick tweaks, or Packages/User/Limitcode/chat.css for full control. Empty
    values inherit the active theme.

  • LSP integration: fixed the incorrect API usage, so post-edit diagnostics are
    now more reliable when the LSP package is installed.

  • Fixes: main menu contributions are now ordered correctly.

  • Reporting: bugs, suggestions and questions are welcome in the GitHub issues.
    Pro users can tag the issue title with [Pro].

Update through Package Control (Package Control: Upgrade Package ->
Limitcode) or directly from the repository.
