i licensed sublime long ago on my old laptop.
that machine is now out of commission.
i’d like to transfer the license to my desktop.
i have the menu option on the laptop to ‘remove license’…
will this expose the license so i can move it to the desktop?
otherwise, options?
Per the Sales FAQ, licences are per user, not computer. You can install it on both.
In addition to the above, removing the license will just revert Sublime back to an unregistered state. So it’s not needed to move the license, but it also won’t give you something that you can use to license on another machine, if that was what you were asking.
You can just install on another machine and use the same license key you originally used; if you don’t know what the key is you can use https://www.sublimehq.com/store/retrieve_key to retrieve it.
