Hi there,

The license for Sublimerge 4 on Ubuntu is not being accepted.

Thx.

Sublimerge isn’t a Sublime HQ product. Our products are Sublime Text and Sublime Merge.

Sorry, I mean Sublime Merge (your product) does not accept the license.

Are you including the ----- BEGIN LICENSE ----- and ------ END LICENSE ------ parts? If it still doesn’t work can you direct message me either the email address you purchased Sublime Merge with or the license key?

Still not working even with the license parts. I will email you. What is your email address? Thx.

Here is my two cents: If you are storing your license in some app like 1Password, the “one line” storage there messes up the line terminations and if you copy/paste you will get an invalid license error. Just copy/paste it from the email or a text file (or a storage format that preserves the end of line characters)

That is what I’ve done. I do not store the license in another app. I copied it, and pasted it as you told me. It still is not working! The strange thing is that Sublime Text 4 does accept the license but Sublime Merge does not.

Did you purchase a separate license for Sublime Merge? A Sublime Text license doesn’t work with both.

It’s actually possible to get a Bundled license, in which case the one license key will indeed work with both Text and Merge; however that hasn’t always been the case and so such a license won’t work with older versions of Merge or Text from before this change was made.

If you have a bundled license, this could be what’s happening; the solution would then be to make sure both are running a recent version. It’s not clear from your question if that’s the case or not though.
