License key no longer valid after moving to new laptop

I’m using ST4 on a Mac. I purchased a license through my company’s software partner in February last year. During the year end period I was contacted by the partner if I still use ST4 and the license needs to be renewed. As per partner the renewal was completed.

This year I received a new laptop, after installing ST4 I tried to enter the same license key, but I get the message “Thanks for purchasing” and after some seconds comes the error message “Your license key is no longer valid, and has been removed”.

Can you please help me how to troubleshoot this? Thank you.

I see an active subscription registered to your email address. There’s also an older license key from a now ended subscription. Perhaps you’re using the wrong key? You can recover your license key here: https://www.sublimehq.com/store/retrieve_key

In the meantime the license was reordered, maybe that is the reason.

I have entered the newly received key and it was working. Thank you.
