License: Does the 3years start from official release?

As the title says. For anyone purchasing Sublimemerge now would they get 3yrs of updates after official release or would the countdown start now?

You well receive all updates between the time you purchase your license, and 3 years from that date. After 3 years, you’ll be able to continue using the most recent version you had access to. There will eventually be a discounted upgrade option to extend the 3 years of updates.

It’s the same as the traditional software purchasing model, but with “Next major version” replaced with “3 years”, allowing us to improve the software incrementally, rather than bundle everything into major releases.
