Hi, I am using the character count in a .txt document that has columns of 60 characters each. (genetic data). The character count at the bottom right of the page seems to add an extra character at the end or start of each line. (I’m referring to the bottom right that keeps tally of the number of characters in your location on the document and the line number).
For example, if I count a single line it says I am highlighting 60 characters, which is correct.
If I highlight a whole line and the first letter of a second line it says I am highlighting 62 characters, which is not correct (it should be 61). Could anyone help me fix this?
