Hi!
Many threads here are summarized with: “I want Sublime Text to be more like Atom or Visual Studio Code.”
I chose Sublime Text because I think that some features in Visual Studio IDE and Visual Studio Code will never be implemented. This is because Microsoft is in control, and they want to have money for those features. I figure I have made a great deal when I install Sublime Text with plugins for $60 instead of Visual Assist for Visual Studio IDE for $99. Of course, there is a little time involved in setting up the plugins, or implementing my own features, but in the end I have made money and knowledge both, making developing future productivity features even easier.
Features that can be automated are essential for productivity in large scale projects, so they should not be behind that kind of paywall. I want to wish the developers of Sublime Text good luck in developing a great piece of software!
