Layout Options not working besides single pane layout

Hi there,

I downloaded the test version yesterday and played around with this very nice editor. It works very well, however, layout options appear to be broken for me. If I switch from Single Pane View to any other option the document area gets black and the tabs on the top disappear. Sidebar stays visible and according to the status bar the documents are still open and I can navigate through them but I can’t see anything of the open document(s).

My specs are: Ubuntu 10.10 64bit.

Some other notes:

  • I installed today’s update but no change.
  • Tried the windows version in a VM and layout options work just fine.

Thanks to this report: Panels disappear when they don't fit in the window I was able to narrow down the problem. As soon as I select a layout option besides “Single Pane Layout” the window resizes to an invisible frame on the left side. I can, however, use the mouse and resize the window again.

Going back to single pane view and the again selecting double pane view causes the same problem to happen again. So to sum it up: layout options work but I have to resize the windows to make the code visible again each time I select a new layout option.
