It’s very slow to switch between different files, constantly pinwheeling, and then occasionally freezes completely requiring a reboot.
Is it possible to downgrade to build 3209?
Latest build (3211) of ST3 is very laggy on OS X 10.12.6

You can download the installer/zip file/tarball for any older version of Sublime by copying the download URL from the download page and replacing the build number with the version you’d like. You also probably want to add "update_check": false to your preferences so that Sublime will stop looking for updates, or you’ll get notified every time you start it.
That said, have you tried any troubleshooting steps to see why the problem might be happening, such as temporarily reverting to a clean install in order to see if a third party package you’ve installed might be causing the problem?

Thanks for the ultra fast response.
Deleting ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 3 seemed to have solved it. I only had a few packages (and mostly didn’t use them) and very minimal custom config, so it’s alright for me.
