I’ve downloaded the Kotlin.tmLanguage file, how do I install it?

You should use Package Control to install it. If you haven’t enabled Package Control, go to Tools → Install Package Control… . Then, open the command palette (ctrl-shift-p) and start typing “install”. Select “Package Control: Install Package”, then start typing “Kotlin” and select the Kotlin package.
