Keybinds lost or duplicated?

#1

Hi, all,

Thank you very much for Sublime Text 3! I’m a new user who made the switch from emacs after discovering sublemacspro and for the most part my muscle memory is very happy. :slightly_smiling:

Unfortunately, my keybinds are acting strange. Sometimes sublemacspro bindings will simply become inactive - ctrl+x starts deleting lines instead of starting a multi-keystroke binding. Even more strangely, sometimes both the sublime default behavior AND the sublemacspro behavior will be triggered, as in alt+f, which will both move the cursor a word forward AND open the “File” menu.

Quitting sublime and restarting will fix the problem… temporarily… but it usually rears its ugly head in a relatively short period of time. So, my questions:

  1. Is there a sublime command to FORCE the keybindings files to be reloaded, thus reasserting the correct binding?

  2. Is it possible for a poor user like me to debug this problem via sublime?

  3. Is it possible for plugins to react to a keystroke but allow it to be passed to other handlers? This would be the obvious problem, but the plugin documentation is opaque, and I don’t have a clue as to how to approach that problem.

Thanks again for sublime and for the great community here!
