I found a post as far back as 2012, which asked to keep find/replace dialog box “sticky”, but I can’t find any information, which would would indicate that anything has changed since that time regarding this feature request. I find default behavior of the find/replace dialog box to be somewhat irritating in that it disappears on its own, and you need to call it again if you need to perform another find/replace task. It would be nice to have a setting, which would control its default “auto close” behavior.
