I’ve made a colour scheme that uses italic characters for strings.
For some fonts, eg Consolas, this works well. However for some other fonts, strings won’t show as italics, even though I have the italic version of the font installed too.
Does anybody know why this is, and what I can do about it?
I’m particularly interested in the Code New Roman Font, which is similar to my fave font, Monaco - but Monaco doesn’t have an italic version.
I’m using ubuntu mate, and I converted the otf fonts to ttf, and it still doesn’t do what i want!
