Issues with saving (keeping files open)

#1

Hi there,

I’ve noticed when using Sublime Text to edit things that I’ve mounted via NFS, that it creates .nfsXXXXXXXXXXXX files.

This happens when a file is removed, but is kept open. I’ve tracked this down to being sublime. If I change a file, then it seems to delete the file, and save a new one, however, it keeps the file handle open. If I close sublime, then the files get closed off.

This is rather annoying (as git thinks they’re new files!) It also begs me to ask, if sublime is keeping these files open, am I eventually going to hit the File Descriptor limit ?

Is this known/is there any way to switch this off?

Hi, which operating system were you using and which sublimetext version? Did it only happen after you have saved the file or does it happen regardless?
