Is this a bug? Just me? Multiple monitors

#1

I am not sure the technical term for it, but I am experiencing a rather annoying bug with the little window that appears with auto-predictions.

A few days ago I finally got around to upgrading Sublime to:

I have a 4 monitor setup, with my ST3 setup on an auxiliary screen to the left of the “main” screen. Whenever I type and ST3 comes up with an auto-prediction, this box appears NOT on the screen where ST3 is, but on the main screen.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I use Sublime on a multi-monitor setup on both Windows and Linux and I’ve never encountered this myself.

What OS are you running on? Are some of the monitors running a higher DPI than others?

@OdatNurd, thanks for the fast response.

I have 4 monitor setup as follows, from left to right:

  • 1920x1080 (landscape)
  • 2560 x 1440 (portrait) <- with ST3
  • 2560 x 1440 (landscape) <- main
  • 1920x1080 (portrait)

This is running on:

LSB Version: 1.4
Distributor ID: Arch
Description: Arch Linux
Release: rolling
Codename: n/a

I have also been running ST3 on multiple monitors on various Linux distributions for years now and have never seen this until the recent build. I don’t even know where to look to try and diagnose the problem.

The most recent builds for Linux use GTK3 instead of GTK2, so it’s possible that there’s some new interaction there that’s causing issues with things; possibly it has a different notion of how all of the screens combine into one?

Are you using Wayland or X11?
