Is there a way to change the look of the tabs?

I’m using Monokai color scheme and an adaptive theme. I want to change the tabs from trapezoidal shape to rectangular. Is there a way to do that without installing any other theme?

The shape of the tabs is controlled by your Theme (which provides image textures used to render the tabs).

You can create a simple modification file for your theme to apply new images, although here “simple” means that you don’t need to create a whole new theme, just updated theme rules for the part you want to modify (which may or may not be simple).

It does require you to design your own tab graphics, though. In this regard installing another theme is probably the easiest way to do this.

I was using Material Theme but I noticed that ST was lagging a lot so I stopped using it and just stick to the pre built themes and color schemes. Is it okay to just copy and paste the Material graphics?

Meetio Theme is nice.

And yes, you can use graphics from the material theme but use a User override
