Is SublimeText still in active development?

#1

First off, I take all the blame on not researching before buying, and I did agree to buy to software AS-IS; I just fell in love with the editor when I tried it, and didn’t give it the extended test-run it maybe would’ve warranted.

That being said, now that I have researched, I’m starting to wonder what exactly is the state of the project.
To summarize:

  • ST2 aside, the latest builds of ST3 are two months old now.

  • The last time jps posted on the forums was around the same time.

  • The latest closed issues on userecho are four years old.

  • The @sublimehq Twitter account has been dead since March.

This isn’t exactly reassuring. Looking at the build history, the release schedule of SublimeText has clearly never been anything consistent, but for the first half of 2015 there seemed to be a good few build per month, at the least.

I realize the project is closed-source, but is there any kind of public commit log, or something similar, to track if there’s any progress being made? Is progress being made?

Firstly, I’m sorry, I have to close this topic immediately, otherwise it’ll end in a torrent of crap again.

Sublime has always had spurts of development and then nothing. I’m sure that if Jon decided not to work on Sublime any longer, he’d announce it. Recently there have been several new features, mainly the new Sublime Syntax format. Yes, it’s been quiet for now, but don’t worry, I’m confident that there will be more.
