Is Sublime Text and Editor the same thing?

I am taking a web developer class and I am a little confused.Is Sublime Text and Editor the same thing?

Sublime Text is a text editor, if that’s what you mean. If someone where to say “open this file in your editor and make these changes” they would be talking about software that can be used to edit the contents of a file, and Sublime is one such program.
