Is it possible that when trying goto anything and once the file has been selected, you can immediately search for a symbol in the file?

Is it possible that by going to goto anything (ctrl + p) and once the file has been identified, I can immediately search for a symbol in the file?

Some like ctrl + p > choose file and then ctrl + r
