Installing tmLanguage but failing to load

Hello,
I’m trying to install a Textmate .tmLanguage, an old uncomplete package I’d like to fix. I copied it to /Users/ but Sublime Text 3 fails to load it. Is there any specific need to install Textmate grammars?

When you say you copied it to /Users/ do you mean /Packages/User (i.e. the User package for Sublime) or the actual /Users/ path (e.g. on a Mac)?

Sublime will only load files from certain locations, which you can learn more about here.

yes sorry I mispelled the folder name, the path is Packages/User/Textpattern/Textpattern.tmLanguage, or Packages/User/Textpattern.tmLanguage or even Packages/Textpattern/Textpattern.tmLanguage, but the language does not appear in the pop up menu. I tried also a basic.sublime-syntax` attempt, to no avail.
