Installation on laptop

I have installed Sublime text 3 on my desktop. Works well.
Would like to have it on my laptop as well.
Do I have to install the portable version in a USB to use it on both machines?

What do you mean? Why don’t you install just like you did on your desktop?

If I do that, what about the license?
In other applications I have a license key.

If its possible to install on 2 computers do I need dropbox to share files between the two?

You can install Sublime on as many machines as you want, see the Sales FAQ:

Licenses are per-user, so you’re welcome to use the one license on all computers and operating systems where you are the primary user. For businesses, the number of users must equal the number of licenses.:

The only differences between the portable version and the version with a setup file is that you can run it from where you extracted it and that it keeps it’s configuration files in the same directory (instead of in your user path). Both versions still require a license for continued use.

What mean for continued use? Is that mean editor is stop working after 3 month work?

No, it won’t stop working. But if you continue to use ST after an evaluation period you should buy a license.
