As of 2 weeks ago I had never even opened a shell, so you can see where I’m at…
Now taking an online class at Coursera on Big Data, so I have a Cloudera VM running on my Mac. Part of this course is running some basic Scala commands inside the SPARK platform.
So now I feel I need an absolute beginners guide (no programming background) to Scala and discovered AtomicScala.com… Atomic Scala reccomends Sublime, but when I download the OS version into my Cloudera VM I receive a ‘Error occurred whilst extracting files message’ when I click on the .dmg file to open Sublime.
I am pretty sure I am doing something fundamentally stupid but would appreciate your advice and guidance anyway.
