I am wondering whether the LaTeX syntax correctly captures the cite function \citeyearpar. \citeyearpar has the scope support.function.general.latex but should be support.function.cite.latex (like all other cite function).
Looking at LaTeX.sublime-syntax, the relevant line is
[cC]ite(?:author|title|year|date|url|t|p|alt|alp|text)?
but should be (added yearpar):
[cC]ite(?:author|title|year|date|url|t|p|alt|alp|text|yearpar)?
I am happy to create a pull request for this but it’s possible that I am missing something so I don’t want to overburden the maintainer.
Here is a link to the relevant section in LaTeX.sublime-syntax.
