I didn’t find this mentioned, but think it could improve sublimetext in some ways.
In vim 7.3 among others was announced text conceal feature, which i think is great.
So, for those who don’t know what is that:
concealments rules are defined in a syntax file, like common highlight rules,
but instead of color to highlight, we can define characters, which replaces matched text.

It also can be used for markdown files, but i didn’t find good pictures of it.
I would be glad to see this feature in future sublimetext releases.
