I don’t think that’s the actual font name; monospace refers to the default monospace font not any specific font. You should be able to check what font it’s set to using the gnome-tweaks
tool. Alternatively you can manually set a different font in ST using the "font_face"
setting.
Looks to me like whatever that “Monospace Regular” font is it’s generally rendered oddly. You can see it’s also top-aligned in that font preview. Seems like ST is rendering it correctly here.
